I have a background in working with kids, teens, adults, and families who are struggling with an array of issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, behavioral issues, parenting struggles, relationship and family problems, lack of self-esteem, etc. When working with clients I do my best to meet them where they are at in their life journey, and I work continuously to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to share, and process feelings and emotions. I am a firm believer that knowledge is power, so I introduce different types of psychoeducation in sessions with the hope that this will promote an environment of personal growth and learning.

When I meet with children and adolescents I utilize a plethora of play and art therapy techniques to help enhance their emotional vocabulary and intelligence, and their ability to communicate how they feel. We also work on enhancing social skills, increasing frustration tolerance, and strengthening executive functioning skills.

When working with adults, I do my best to help clients gain insight, and self-awareness around their feelings and emotions, mental health symptoms, and maladaptive behavior(s), because the more you know about yourself the easier it will be to make the changes you desire. To help you accomplish your treatment goals I utilize techniques from different treatment modalities, that include but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, Narrative therapy, and different trauma-focused treatment modalities.
